I am Glen Southern and I am a Digital Artist in the TV and film industry by day and a lover of aroids and other rare plants by night and weekends! I love to share creative ideas and art-related content plus lots of tips and tricks about keeping and living with these amazing plants.

I have been an artist all my life and run a studio in the UK called SouthernGFX. We provide a wide range of services across multiple sectors and industries. In the entertainment sector, we provide 3D modelling and motion graphics. This work includes 3D creatures, Characters and Environments. I am particulary proud to have worked on Jurassic Park and more recently Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio.

I love nature and spend a lot of time outdoors. I have always been interested in growing plants and in particular Aroids. Then in 2021 I decided to create a YouTube Channel called The Aroid Artist. This was originally an experiement but has grown to a following of over 2,000 subscribers.
